Energy Supplier:  Brooklyn Cyclones CIT Baseball Program - 2004

GOAL: Supply Brooklyn Cyclones Ticket Holders with a Limited Edition Baseball sponsored by Keyspan, advertising Keyspan's name.

WHAT: Two CIT Baseballs (one Keyspan, one Maimonides) set in acrylic cases - displaying the Cyclones, Maimonides and Keyspan logos, with amazing photos of a night and dusk game and a Cyclones player collage.

HOW: Create two baseballs, and pass them out to fans at two different games during the Cyclones' season, over 4,000 ticket holders each game.

SUCCESS GAUGE: According to the team, this was one of their BEST promotions of the year, and everyone loved it!

NEXT GOAL: Measure up to this promotion, by continuing with another series in 2005 and increase our Minor League presence.


Retail:  Indiana University Hoosiers Soccer Ball Program - 2003

GOAL: Create a Limited Edition Collectible Soccer Ball, commemorating the first five championships of Indiana Men's Soccer with Coach Yeagley.

WHAT: A 32 panel CIT Soccer Ball, with various scenes (B&W and Color), the IU logo and a special numbering system.

HOW: Sold via the Indiana Outfitters program.

SUCCESS GAUGE: The initial order was increased due to the demand.

NEXT GOAL: Create a new ball commemorating ex-Coach Yeagley's sixth championship and final season.


Manufacturer: John Deere CIT Baseball Program (2004/2005)

GOAL: Create a piece for John Deere enthusiasts (catalog) and strengthen John Deere's tie to an American tradition (baseball).

WHAT: Single CIT Baseball with one logo panel and the other of a John Deere tractor.

HOW:  1. Create a John Deere baseball depicting a field tractor harvesting America's "fields of grain".  2. Place the product in the John Deere catalog.

SUCCESS GAUGE: Sales and Ordering have increased annually.

NEXT GOAL: Attempt to create a yearly commemorative baseball collection.


Bank:  Baltimore Orioles CIT Baseball Program - 2004

GOAL: Build awareness of the Orioles' 50th Anniversary and create an incentive for customers to open new accounts at Sun Trust.

WHAT: Single CIT Baseball with one panel in black and white (Memorial Stadium) and the other in full color (Camden Yards).

HOW:  1. Create a Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Baseball with Memorial Stadium and Camden Yards.  2. Advertise at Sun Trust branches, Orioles games and regional television.  3. Present product to select customers when opening accounts.

SUCCESS GAUGE: According to team contacts, the bank was extremely pleased with the promotion for two reasons: increasing account openings and credit an easy conduit for conversation (thus increasing the opportunity for further bank service offerings).

NEXT GOAL: Attempt to create a third year of collectibles in conjunction with the Orioles - hoping to create a consistent winning tradition of team, product and sponsor.


Internal Marketing:  Indinapolis Colts CIT Mini Football Program - 2006

GOAL: Create a unique signature football to commemorate the Indianapolis Colts for the purpose of boosting team spirit among the Colts' employees.

WHAT: A CIT one panel mini football with the Indianapolis Colts' 2006 slogan, "MAKE IT PERSONAL" and a pictures of starting quarterback Peyton Manning.

HOW: Distribute the footballs as an internal marketing promotional giveaway.

SUCCESS GAUGE: Maybe it is just a coincidence but didn't the Colts win the Superbowl in 2007!  The MVP of the Superbowl was Peyton Manning.


Automotive: Baltimore Orioles CIT Baseball Program - 2003

GOAL: Create a gameday giveaway benefiting the fans, team and sponsor, by driving business into show rooms.

WHAT: Four Ball Collection of CIT Baseballs.

HOW: 1. Create a collection of CIT baseballs with retro and new models of Ford cars on each panel.  2. Give away one ball to each Dad (Father's Day promotion at the stadium).  3. Include a promo card describing the four ball set and the availability of the other balls at Local Ford Dealerships.

SUCCESS GAUGE: 1. Many fans in the stadium called it the "best giveaway" they'd ever received.  2. Special large size and keychain balls were presented to select Ford Team members.  Traffic to dealerships increased during the promotion.  3. Six weeks later, single balls were still selling on eBay for over $50, and complete sets for just under $100.

NEXT GOAL: Mission Accomplished.  Orioles balls were reordered for Ford dealer promotion and in 2004 the Orioles and Sun Trust Bank teamed up for another giveaway.
